Project summary

The main object of this project is to advance and develop the teaching methods/ process that make children with special needs to be more motivated to learn. These methods will attach great importance to ICT -tools, teachers have to be well- endowed with to provide pupils with special needs powerful means of access to a broad and balanced curriculum and help them to overcome barriers to learning. The project is planning to equip teachers with necessary ICT competences, thus making the learning process for students with special needs more effective, exciting and inclusive. In addition it is planned to analyse the existing initial and in-service teacher education programmes, existing materials for teachers in the work with children with special needs, then to build up the course for teachers. Ready-made course with detailed description, study materials and advices how to utilize ICT-tools in this context will constitute the most important outputs of this project. All materials will be available in the form of the printed materials and CD version, therefore distance education is possible. The primary target group consists of practicing teachers and future teachers working with pupils of special needs. Secondary target group is pupils with special needs experiencing too many barriers in learning process.
